In Mietków, Lower Silesia, Schavemaker is building its second rail terminal in Poland, about 11 km from our existing terminal in Kąty Wrocławskie. We have acquired a 35-hectare site there that already has 7 km of rail track.
Planned for the site are a container terminal, an intermodal terminal for transhipping semi-trailers, our own electrified railway station with several stabling tracks, and warehouses of up to 100,000 m², including production warehouses with tracks running inside.
Construction is under way with support from EU funds under Poland's National Recovery Plan (KPO). An opening date has not yet been confirmed. The location is well placed for distribution in Poland and to the Czech Republic.
