First electric trucks now running from Beverwijk

Four fully electric tractors have joined the Beverwijk fleet. They run daily between the terminal and regional customers with zero tailpipe emissions.

This summer the first four fully electric tractors entered service at our Beverwijk site. The vehicles run daily between the terminal, the warehouse and customers across North Holland.

Charging on site

Six fast chargers have been installed at the Beverwijk yard. Trucks charge while they are being loaded and unloaded, so planning barely changes. Power comes from the solar panels on the warehouse roof, topped up with certified green electricity from the grid.

What it means for customers

For regional runs of up to roughly 250 kilometres a day, electric is now the default. Customers see the difference in their CO2 reporting, which we can provide per shipment. Moerdijk and Breda follow in 2027.
