Rail Transport
Sustainable multimodal transport via own rail terminal
Since acquiring our own rail terminal in Katy Wroclawskie, Schavemaker offers fully integrated multimodal transport. Using our own 45ft dry boxes and Huckepack trailers, we move goods by rail freight — relieving Europe's road network and drastically cutting CO2 emissions through effective modal shift.
Our rail terminal is part of the TEN-T network on the Baltic-Adriatic corridor spanning six EU countries. The direct rail connection from Wroclaw to Moerdijk takes approximately 30 hours — a reliable and sustainable alternative that replaces hundreds of truck journeys and makes a real contribution to greener supply chains.
Rail freight is the most effective modal shift available today. With own infrastructure at both ends and Euro-6 trucks for first and last mile, we deliver seamless door-to-door service that combines sustainability with reliability — the backbone of a truly green supply chain.
